Week of January 12, 2009

We had a good week in school. A few tears over math and lots of fun with projects. Here is a summary of what we have accomplished:

Language Arts
Spelling	Spelling Workout, Lessons 31-35

History
Ancient History	Story of the World, chapter 4. We covered pyramid building and mummies.
Science
Human Anatomy	We covered skin, the nervous system, and the muscular system.

As part of of our science lessons we traced our body on large sheets of paper and are adding body parts as we study the systems.

For our pyramid study we made a pyramid from sand cubes. (Project instructions are on our Projects page.)

We started a chicken mummy. It will be named Pharoah Chicken-kamen and we have a journal to track his progress. I will post photos in our photo gallery as the project progresses.
